The Magnetic Field Induced Ferromagnetism in EuPd <sub>2</sub> Sn <sub>4</sub> Novel Compound

Crystal structure, magnetic and thermal physical properties of EuPd 2 Sn 4 stannide are reported on. From the susceptibility measurements, a divalent state Eu rare earth element is determined together with an antiferromagnetic (AFM) order at 11 K. By applying field, behavior variation reveals complex structure. Above critical field B c , ferromagnetic (FM)-like character starts to prevail. AFM FM regimes separated by metamagnetic region. Heat capacity measurements confirm this behavior.
